Book Reviews & Comments:

"What I like about this book is it doesn't deny the grief we feel and it gives you hope."
                    Michael Anthony

"I know how it feels to lose someone you love deeply. It can be a terribly hard time.
The book was originally written for a young lady who lost both her parents. It is a story
of life and death, of grief and hope. It is a story of never-ending love, and of what is really
possible with faith and hope."
                    Patrick St. Clair, Author

In the land of Maddan,
near the valley of Roole,

lived a princess whose heart
was like unto a jewel.
And found deep in the heart
of the land of Maddan,

was a boy who did sow
with the love of his hands.
I will give her a gift,
he said unto himself,
so he went to his home
and took tools from the shelf.

Then he wondered what gift
would show love that is true,
In a moment it came ~
grow a rose that was blue.

But the dreams they did dream
and the times left to share,
all too soon would be gone
and this life would seem bare.

For the land of Maddan
heard a cry called the war,
and the pain that it brought
felt unbareably sore.

The brave boy went to fight
so that right just might win.

So the land would be free,
from the tyrant and sin.
The dark war ended well,
but not so for the boy.

and he died in the war,
for her freedom and joy.

Yet surrounded by lonliness,
anger and fear,
the sad heart of the princess
kept flowing with tears.

She held not to the life
of the beautiful blue,
nor the love in her heart,
being tried, but still true.

But remembered the rose
as it withered and dried,
and the way that he left her
the day that it died.

And if you posess faith
and endure to the end,
then your future is life,
and your heart, it will mend.

For when all the clouds clear,
and the battles are won,
see, the boy and the princess...
- have only begun -
